The hotel\u2019s SPA center was practically founded in 102 A.D. by Roman emperor Trajan and named Therme Herculi. The resort itself was named after Hercules. The Hercules Source, one of the nine water sources used in the resort. The building has the public functions organized on the lower floors and the 180 rooms in a 8-storey slab-shaped building. Anti-corrosive measures were taken for the foundations, because the thermal waters are sulphur rich. The building, with an apparent concrete finish, resonates with the generous natural surroundings.
