Ioana Grigorescu aplicat pe chiliile edificate \u00een timpul Imperiului Austriac (1843-45): remodelarea general\u0103 \u00eentr-o expresie modern\u0103. Pentru a pune \u00een valoare drumul de straj\u0103 r\u0103mas ascuns, corpurile vechi de chilii &#8211; cel de vest, destinat oaspe\u021bilor \u0219i cel de nord, al maicilor &#8211; au fost articulate printr-un spa\u021biu dezvoltat pe toat\u0103 \u00een\u0103l\u021bimea, de un dinamism volumetric excep\u021bional. Coridorul astfel creat a fost marcat cu accese vitrate de sus p\u00e2n\u0103 jos \u0219i protejat cu un plafon din beton aparent. La etajul 1 al corpului de nord s-a amenajat paraclisul, remarcabil prin folosirea curajoas\u0103 a betonului aparent transpus \u00een formele decorative ale ancadramentului intr\u0103rii \u00een naos \u0219i \u00een cele patru bol\u021bi cu suprafe\u021be riglate din zona de acces a pronaosului, r\u0103mase nepictate la insisten\u021bele autoarei.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>A special case study is architect Ioana Grigorescu\u2019s concept for a group of monastic cells built during the Austrian Empire (1843-45): general remodelling in a modern expression. To highlight the hidden watch road, the old cell buildings &#8211; the western one, for guests, and the northern one, for the nuns &#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>were connected by a new, exceptionally dynamic volume, developped up the entire height. The \u201ecorridor\u201d so created was marked by full-height glazed accessways and protected by an apparent concrete ceiling. The paraclise on the first floor of the northern building is notable for the courageous use of apparent concrete decorating the entrance to the aisle and for the four ruled-surface vaults over the narthex, left unpainted, as the author insisted.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Construit\u0103 \u00een 1961-1971.
