Architects: Horia Maicu, Romeo Belea, Nicolae Cucu et al.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Teatrul Na\u021bional, construit pe terenul c\u00e2ndva folosit pentru complexul expozi\u021bional Transnistria (1942-1944), a presupus un volum dominant acoperit cu o p\u00e2nz\u0103 sprijinit\u0103 pe contrafor\u021bi \u2013 o plastic\u0103 a vremii \u00een arhitectura occidental\u0103 \u2013 \u0219i prelungit \u00eentr-un corp rectangular. \u00cen urma unui incendiu la Sala Mare, \u00een 1978, a fost ordonat\u0103 l\u0103rgirea s\u0103lii de la circa 900 de locuri la peste 1.200 \u015fi construc\u0163ia unei loje oficiale. Drept urmare, \u00een anii \u201980 teatrul a suferit mutil\u0103ri de form\u0103, potrivit unor decizii dictatoriale, rezult\u00e2nd o cl\u0103dire cu tr\u0103s\u0103turi postmoderniste. Dup\u0103 2010 teatrul a intrat \u00eentr-un proces de aducere la starea ini\u021bial\u0103 prin eliminarea interven\u021biilor din anii \u201980. Cu mici sc\u0103p\u0103ri de nuan\u021b\u0103, \u00eentreaga ini\u021biativ\u0103<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>reprezint\u0103 o \u00eenl\u0103turare a elementelor post-moderne \u0219i o \u00eentoarcere la tendin\u021bele modernist socialiste.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The National Theatre, built on a plot once used for the Transnistria Exhibition (1942-1944), consists of a dominant volume with a thin shell roof supported by buttresses &#8211; commonly used at the time in Western architecture &#8211; continued by a rectangular volume. After a fire, in 1978, it was decided to extend the 900-seat Great Hall to over 1,200 seats and add an offical loggia. As a result, the theatre was mutilated in the \u201980s, according to dictatorial decisions, and turned into a postmodern looking building. After 2010, the theatre entered a rehabilitation process, to reverse the interventions of the \u201980s.
