The edifice was built in 1968, after plans drafted by architect A. Oprea from the Hydrotechnical Studies and Design Institute in Bucharest. It consists of an administrative building and a conference hall, both made of precast elements, in a sober style typical for hydropower plants and apparent concrete. The structural elements of the conference hall are similar in shape to prestressed elements used in hydropower dams in Romania. Today, the lower part has been rented out to a bank. The building preserves its original volumetry and the texture of the apparent concrete façades has aged well, unaltered yet by rehabilitation works.

Construit în 1965-1968.
