Main gateway for the south-western part of the country after Bucharest, the North Station in Timisoara replaced the old one, destroyed during WWII. It stands out for the main volume of the passenger hall, which is completely glazed and supported by colums with cantilevered articulations. The total renovation it underwent between 2003 and 2013 has not been completed because of some misunderstandings with the contractor. The building was left in a desolate state after the partial repairs, preserving, however, the original volumetry. The Romanian Railways Company announced a rehabilitation project for 2018-2020 that is going to completely change the character of the building.

Reconstruită în 1970-1976.
