Mircea Mih\u0103ilescu, au reu\u0219it s\u0103 pun\u0103 \u00een valoare func\u021biunea utilitar\u0103 \u00eentr-o nou\u0103 exprimare plastic\u0103, specific\u0103 unei sta\u021biuni de munte. Pentru structura g\u0103rii, care a presupus un paraboloid hiperbolic cu margini drepte acoperind un partiu romboidal rezemat la col\u021burile de jos, colectivul a fost distins \u00een 1967 cu premiul Ministerului Educa\u021biei \u0219i \u00cenv\u0103\u021b\u0103m\u00e2ntului. Volumetria holului de c\u0103l\u0103tori ofer\u0103 o larg\u0103 panoram\u0103 c\u0103tre mun\u021bii din jur. Suprafe\u021bele riglate care \u00eenvelesc gara sunt din pl\u0103ci prefabricate de beton armat. Ansamblul a adus o nou\u0103 plastic\u0103 \u00een peisajul tradi\u021bional, pe care \u00eel domin\u0103 \u0219i acum. Gara nu mai e folosit\u0103 la capacitate maxim\u0103, unele spa\u021bii, precum cafeneaua sau s\u0103lile de a\u0219teptare \u00een subpant\u0103, fiind \u00eenchise. \u00cen jur au ap\u0103rut structuri parazitare, afect\u00e2ndu-i aspectul.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The authors of the design, seconded by engineer Mircea Mihailescu, managed to find a new expression for this utilitarian function &#8211; one fit for a mountainous area. For this structure design &#8211; a hyperbolic paraboloid with straight sides covering a romboid layout resting on the lower corners &#8211; the team received in 1967 the Ministry of Education Award. The volumetry of the passenger hall offers a vast panorama to the surrounding mountains. The ruled surfaces covering it are made of precast reinforced concrete. The station ensemble brought a new expression in the still predominantly traditional landscape. The station is no longer used at full capacity and some of the spaces, such as the cofee-shop or the split waiting hall, are closed.
