The new station ensemble replaced the old station, which had functioned for 100 years, since 1860. The concept was an asymmetric one, with the passenger station in the center, dominating the ensemble, and the reception wing on one side – an area planned for official travels. The main building, with a socialist modernist volumetry, has an arched, double-curvature roof made of thin reinforced concrete membranes. The ensemble was refurbished with poor quality finishings and loud colors. The reception hall was not renovated, but the addition of food stores on its sides altered its architecture.

Construită în 1960.
