Positioned to dominate the surrounding ensemble, the Bank is distinguished by the simple composition: two harmoniously combined volumes, an 8-storey cube standing over a single-storey slab. The rigorous aesthetics of the façades is a clear indicator of its functional organization. A reminder of the modernist reconstruction stage on the ”Youth” Boulevard (now Grigore Vieru), this building faces irreversible mutilation. Several architecture competitions were organized after 2012 to find a remodeling solution for it, and in 2016 the winners were finally announced. Their design radically changes the building, both in height and in terms of general style.

Construită în 1974.
