Gheorghiu Dej Factory (now Progresul) were used to build eight B1 and C1 type apartment buildings, the first standardized residential complex in Cotroceni neighborhood, near the Medical School. Three types of buildings were grouped on a green plot: four buildings with 3-room apartments, three with 2-room apartment and one with studios for single residents. The 666-type project provided rooms of at least 16 sqm, a generous standard for that time. The goal was to integrate the standardized buildings in a neighborhood of villas with typical Romanian architecture elements, especially vernacular (porches). To highlight the connexion with nature, the loggias – dominant elements of the façades – included perforated panels.

Construit în 1957-1958.
