Restaurantul Pescarul, creat pentru a completa silueta urbanistică a Galațiului, a fost amplasat pe platforma superioară a falezei Dunării, în zona Mazepa. Construcția pe două niveluri, cu un splendid amplasament, le oferă consumatorilor perspective variate către faleză, având 80 de locuri în restaurant, 20 la bar și circa 200 pe două terase exterioare. Partiul este simplu, iar conceptul amintește de o succesiune de bărci pescărești, creând într-un volum lotusul perfect. Nu lipsesc spațiile vitrate, ce creează o relație armonioasă cu mediul natural al Dunării. Starea de conservare este acceptabilă, dar volumul principal este desfigurat de tencuiala amprentată albastru strident, iar mozaicul de pe scările de acces are nevoie de întreținere.
”The Fisherman” Restaurant, located on the upper embankment, in the Mazepa area, was designed as a finishing touch to the urban silhouette of the city. The two-storey building has a privileged position, offering its patrons various belevue perspectives on the Danube. It provides 80 places in the restaurant, 20 at the bar and about 200 on the two terraces. The layout is simple, with a concept reminding of a cluster of fishing boats, creating a volume that resembles a perfect lotus flower. Large windows provide a harmonious relationship with the natural environment. The conservation state is acceptable, but the main volume is disfigured by the vivid blue stamped plaster and the mosaic on the access stairs needs maintenance.
